Left Tackles

D.J. Humphries

Humphries is now going into his fourth season with the team.  Last year he had a late start and an early exit thanks to multiple injuries.

It will be important for Humphries to protect Bradford’s blind side.  If Bradford takes one too many hits, it could be an early exit for him this season.

Humphries looked good in preseason and ready to go.  Now we have to hope he can complete the full season.

John Wetzel

Wetzel has been pretty inconsistent for the most part for the Cardinals.  He was called upon often in the absence of Humphries and others over the past two seasons.

He’ll make you want to tear your hair out one minute and make a phenomenal block the next.  The Cardinals need a strong season out of him spelling Humphries.

Korey Cunningham

Cunningham may in the next season or two be the guy to push Humphries at left tackle.  The rookie drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 draft could surprise.

If Wetzel is unable to perform his backup duties, look for the Cardinals to turn to Cunningham. They won’t be afraid to use him.
