Deone Bucannon

Pro Football Focus gave Bucannon the worst grade of any starter for the Cardinals on Sunday against the Redskins.  I would not have be surprised if anyone on the defense had received that distinction on Sunday.

Bucannon was able to get pressure on Redskins quarterback Alex Smith at times, however, it was few and far between. Judging from tweets on Sunday afternoon and comments on Monday, the day after from those watching the game, this wasn’t the Bucannon we have come to know and love.

Bucannon missed tackles, looked lost at times.  He just looked like a guy out of place much of the afternoon.

Bucannon, who has had injury issues, missed some time, still looks to need to get footing in the new Cardinals defense.  He is going to have to improve on his performance or his time on the field will be short in 2018, despite the depth.
