5 optimistic Josh Rosen trade packages
By Avery Duncan
Miami Dolphins start their rebuild with a bang
Arizona Cardinals acquire: 2019 first-round pick (No. 13)
Miami Dolphins acquire: QB Josh Rosen
In this trade, the Cardinals get a similar return for what they paid to get Rosen in 2018 as they add the Dolphins pick, which currently isn’t a spot to get a top quarterback in the 2019 draft without trading up (presuming that Kyler Murray’s stock continues to rise).
The Miami Dolphins are undergoing a massive rebuild, but without a quarterback, the end is nowhere in sight. Former first-round pick Ryan Tannehill looks to be out in South Beach, while promising head coach prospect Brian Flores replaces Adam Gase at head coach. So why not replace a middling quarterback with a promising prospect?
This trade is mutually beneficial for both sides, to say the least, not only do the Cardinals get good value for Rosen, the Dolphins paint a clearer image for what their future looks like under Brian Flores. This would be an ideal trade for the Cardinals.
