team. 44. The Falcons looked about as unprepared for a game as anyone on Sunday. They were never in their road opener at the Minnesota Vikings.
They would get down 28-0 before putting a point on the board. By that time all the damage had been done. That was the score heading into the fourth quarter.

The Falcons didn’t quite, so we can give them that. They scored 12 points to make it seem like a much closer game than it was.

For the Falcons though, don’t expect them to remain in this spot for long. They are trying to get back to the team they were two seasons ago but right now it seems like a bit away.

Quarterback Matt Ryan and receiver <a rel=. 0-1. . Atlanta Falcons. 29

Another game where the losing team was never really in it. The Falcons were steamrolled from the get go on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, losing 28-12.

The game wasn’t really even that close either. It was 28-0 before the Falcons put up two rather meaningless fourth quarter touchdowns.

The Falcons have some real talent on both sides of the ball, so hopefully for their sake this is just a bump called Minnesota playing at home on opening day. It certainly should raise some red flags though.

Despite having Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, it appears that is not going to be enough to beat most teams going forward. They couldn’t stop the run and made too many offensive mistakes to ever be a threat.

Next week the Falcons are on Sunday Night Football at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. Good luck with that. It’s certainly not an un-winnable game but the Eagles can score quickly and often as well.
