The bad

The Cardinals getting too cute on play calling at times.  This was more of an issue in week 1 and we’ve seen moments of it since.

At times the play calling has been a little suspect.  Short passes on 3rd and long won’t cut it.

Penalties.  They “only” had 7 penalties in week 4.  But they also had 7 in weeks 1 and 3.  They had 8 of them in week 2 against the Ravens.  That’s 29 penalties in 4 games.  It’s just not the number but the types and timing.

Rushing attack.  The final numbers in week 4 looked alright, going over 100-yards rushing but their number 1 back, David Johnson, still doesn’t like like the every down go-to guy he once was.

He rushed 11 times for just 44-yards in week 4.  His best week was week 1 in which he ran for 82-yards.  It’s not all on him but the ground game has to do better on a more consistent basis.
