Chase Edmonds

Cardinals running back David Johnson got just 1 carry on Sunday.  He came into the game as questionable.  After the carry, it was all Chase Edmonds on Sunday.

Edmonds ran for a career-high 3 touchdowns on 27-carries for 126-yards.  He was at 135-yards at one pint but last yardage on a couple of his final carries.

Edmonds, playing in front of family and friends in New York for the first time since becoming a Cardinals back, spelled Johnson big time on Sunday.  The real question is going to be whether he keep that kind of load going forward.

He may lose out on some of that load when Johnson is 100 percent, and rightfully so, but if Edmonds can be part of the mix going forward, the Cardinals will be better off for it.  Hopefully his load does not drop much going forward.

The good news is though the Cardinals know they have another weapon in the backfield they can rely on.  With Johnson nursing his injury, don’t expect Edmonds to go away any time soon.
