DeAndre Hopkins Trade

The blockbuster trade of the new season so far for sure.  The Cardinals absolutely fleeced the Houston Texans on the trade for receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cardinals got Hopkins and a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft and gave the Texans in return running back David Johnson for a second round pick this year and a fourth round pick in 2021.

Many were left wondering what were the Texans thinking?  It’s a legitimate question.  The trade was so bad, even Madden 20 said this was a bad trade and wouldn’t allow it.

Michael Irvin on Wednesday alluded to bad blood between Texans coach Bill O’Brien and Hopkins.  Hopkins though tried to downplay it all and said time to move on.

This makes Hopkins the immediate number one with Larry Fitzgerald next to him.  They should equally get a lot of attention.  With Christian Kirk as the number three and then the three rookies fighting for spots this could end up being the best receiving core in the NFL.
