What about Gase?

Raising Zona: If the Jets lose, does Adam Gase still have a job on Monday?

"“Sadly, yes, it doesn’t seem like Adam Gase is going anywhere anytime soon. Thursday’s loss to the Denver Broncos should have been the final nail in the coffin for his disastrous tenure in New York. Unfortunately, reports have emerged that the organization doesn’t plan to fire him this season and would rather wait until the end of the year to do so. The primary reason cited has been for the sake of Sam Darnold’s development — it doesn’t take a “brilliant offensive mind” to see the irony in that statement. Gase isn’t going anywhere when the Jets lose this Sunday, because they will. And he likely isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.”"

As suspected, the jets likely don’t do anything with Gase in the short term, despite what national reports have said over the previous weeks. Taking Gase out of the equation could hurt Darnold.

However now that Darnold is physically hurt and the Jets have a chance to go 0-5 on Sunday, how much longer should they wait? If Gase isn’t fireable right now, what else can the Jets point to as being  issues?

Raising Zona: If it’s Gase, or maybe someone or something else, why isn’t it working in New York right now?

"“Rather than list the things wrong with the Jets, it’s probably easier to list what’s right. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the question so I’ll put it in the simplest terms. An already-abysmal roster has been decimated by injuries and paired with the worst coaching staff in the NFL. The result has been a football team that doesn’t even appear to be playing the same sport as their opponents at most times. The Jets are an awful, awful team right now. The roster is bad. The coaching is bad. Everything is bad. We may very well be looking at one of the worst teams in NFL history right now — don’t rule out the Jets making a push for 0-16. Things are that bad.”"

Here we are making predictions for a close game on Sunday, closer than it should be but here is Fried saying 0-16 is on the table.  He says the Jets roster is that bad.

The Cardinals are known to make bad rosters look good though.  Not saying the last two weeks proved that but the Cardinals do have a tendency to make average or below average players look better than they are.
