Los Angeles Rams/at Los Angeles Rams

On December 6th, the Cards face-off with the Rams in the desert then to close out the regular season, they will face them once more in Los Angeles. There are two things to know about the Rams; they possess offensive firepower, but their defense is sketchy, despite their number two overall ranking in total defense.

The Rams can light up the scoreboard, and if the Cardinals are still struggling with COVID and injuries on defense come their two meetings with the Rams, expect a couple of quarterback duels. And while their defense is fantastic, quarterbacks like Kyler Murray can and will make life miserable for them.

In fact, coach Kliff Kingsbury and the offensive unit can take a page out of Tua Tagovailoa‘s and the Miami Dolphins book when it comes to facing the Rams. By utilizing the quick-game plus their quarterback’s mobility, they can pick up chunks of yardage while controlling the clock, keeping the ball out of Rams quarterback Jared Goff‘s hands.

On paper, it’s easy to expect yet another offensive outing from two of the league’s more explosive offensive units. Murray has the skill-set that plays to the Rams defensive weaknesses, and even on defense, the Cardinals have a pass rush that can take advantage of Goff’s immobility.
