Best defensive player

The candidates are safety Budda Baker, linebacker Jordan Hicks, and linebacker Haason Reddick.

Not as clear cut as it seemed it would be early on.  Baker had himself a great season.  He was selected as a First Team All-Pro thanks to the numbers he put up this season.

Baker had 118 total tackles, 90 of them solo this season. To go with those tackles, he had two interceptions.  Those were the first two interceptions of his career.

He also had six passes defensed with two forced fumbles and two sacks.  He was all over the field this season.

Reddick came on strong the second half of the season especially with his sacks. He ended up with 12.5 of them.  However Baker was stronger over the full balance of the season.

Along with Murray and Hopkins, Baker was selected to the Pro Bowl as well.  Without question Baker has become the leader of the Cardinals defense.
