Arizona Cardinals draft radar: Senior bowl standouts

Edge Jonathon Cooper-Ohio State
All-Pro pass rusher Chandler Jones will be returning for the 2021 season after a season-ending injury. There is a void opposite of Jones left by 2020 breakout Hasaan Reddick entering free agency. Veteran edge defender Markus Golden also is a free agent, adding another potential pass rusher lost.
Ohio State’s edge defender Jonathon Cooper listed at 6’2 3/4 and weighed in at 254 pounds with 31 5/8 inch arms. Cooper rushes with a plan, he uses the speed rush as a precursor for his bull rush. He converts speed to power well to generate the jolt needed to knock his opponent off balance.
#OhioState DE Jonathon Cooper has an explosive first step and plays with power, great leverage and uses his hands well. RS Senior was really productive this season.

Next. The time has come to move on from Larry Fitzgerald. dark
The former buckeye could assume the role of a DPR (designated pass rusher) that enters on passing downs with fresh legs to pin his ears back and rush the passer. Jones will command the attention of the offensive line and the protection schemes, Cooper could be the beneficiary of facing single coverage on passing downs.
