Position of need #1: Running Back

Considering Kenyan Drake‘s so-so production in 2020, we shouldn’t lose any sleep that he’s now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders. We should also be excited about Chase Edmonds, considering his production in 2020 as a complement to Drake.

However, when given a chance, Edmonds showed he cannot do it all. He’s far more effective to the point that he was probably the third most-explosive player on the offense in 2020 as a complement, next to Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cardinals must either sign a running back who can work within a committee during the latter stages of free agency or draft one early. Names like Duke Johnson, James Conner, James White, and even Todd Gurley are still available.

However, the Cardinals may decide to go the younger route. And at 16, they can easily nab someone like Travis Etienne or Najee Harris. Etienne has already expressed his interest in heading to the desert, so if the interest is mutual, the Cardinals would be wise to grant his wish.

However, the team may have more pressing needs to spend their limited resources. The next position of need has no clearcut starter on the roster.
