Position of need #4: Wide Receiver

A.J. Green didn’t solve the issue. However, he can still provide solid depth if he stays healthy. But don’t expect anything more than 40 to 50 receptions from him at this stage in his career. Christian Kirk and Andy Isabella have had their moments, but neither has blossomed into a truly legit WR2.

However, every one of the Cardinals’ receivers apart from DeAndre Hopkins has shown flashes. Isabella had one big game in 2020. And Kirk will show up and make a few plays here and there. But neither has remained consistent.

Therefore, this is a position where you can expect the Cardinals to use a late-round pick and hope for a steal. With Green’s signing and the output from Kirk and Isabella, the Cardinals at least have a little more stability here than the more pressing needs listed above. But I’m still not confident in this current group apart from Hopkins.

At this point, it would surprise to see the Cardinals draft a receiver within the first two rounds. But we should still expect them to take a flyer in the later rounds and hope that player blossoms into what both Kirk and Isabella have failed to do.
