Chad Williams

With no receivers taken in the 2016 NFL Draft, Keim selected Chad Williams with the 98th overall pick in the third round. Like Swope, Williams possessed good size and ran a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash, so it’s no wonder Keim liked him.

Williams, however, never lived up to his billing, having recorded just 20 career receptions during his time as a Cardinal and 1 receiving touchdown. However, Williams remains in the NFL today, having spent time with the Indianapolis Colts in 2019. As of 2021, he is a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, having spent 2020 on their practice squad.

Williams failed to replicate his success at Grambling State in the NFL. And given his draft status, it’s easy to label him as a bust and perhaps Keim’s biggest whiff if we’re talking about wide receivers.

Grade: F – Williams has bounced around the league for 4 seasons and now figures to be a practice squad slash camp player. He hasn’t caught a pass in a regular-season game since 2018.
