Miami Dolphins

Miami has had pass-rush issues for quite some time. Ever since Ndamukong Suh left and Cameron Wake went to the Tennessee Titans and then retired, it’s been slim pickings for the Dolphins. Hence why they drafted Jaelan Philipps out of the University of Miami in the first round this year (who has one of the best swim techniques you’ll ever see).

But why not send off disgruntled corner Xavien Howard for another pass rusher instead? Dolphins head coach Brian Flores has done a masterful job at basically re-creating a lesser version of the “No Name Defense” with guys like Andrew Van Ginkel, Jerome Baker, and more. Adding Chandler Jones would be a win-win for both of these teams.

Miami needs Jones to catch up to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East and take at least one game to have a chance at winning the division. Arizona lacks a corner opposite of Malcolm Butler, with young buck Byron Murphy primed for a breakout season.

The Cardinals could even throw in linebacker Jordan Hicks, a guy who’s been a tackling machine since coming to the desert. After all of the Zaven Collins drama, it wouldn’t hurt to give Hicks in this trade.

Arizona desperately needs interceptions as they only had 11 all of last season. That put them at 19th in the league. Howard had 10 picks on his own in 2020.

Miami, let’s make a deal.
