Predicting the final record for the 2021 Arizona Cardinals
Week 2
Minnesota Vikings (Home)
- Date: Sunday, September 19
- Time: 1:05 p.m. MST
- TV: FOX
This is the one game a lot of Cardinals fans can’t wait for: a chance to shut up Patrick Peterson after his final few seasons and departure was embarrassing and forgetful. DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green will make mincemeat of the below-average Vikings secondary and have the Arizona Cardinals matching their 2-0 start last year.
Prediction: Cardinals win (2-0)
Week 3
Jacksonville Jaguars (Away)
- Date: Sunday, September 26
- Time: 10 a.m. MST
- TV: FOX
Jacksonville had the first overall pick for a reason in this year’s draft, and missing Travis Etienne will put a big damper on their offensive production this season. This will be a blowout Cardinals win.
Prediction: Cardinals win (3-0)
Week 4
Los Angeles Rams (Away)
- Date: Sunday, October 3
- Time: 1:05 p.m. MST
- TV: FOX
While the 3-0 start was fun while it lasted, Sean McVay (Kingsbury’s evil brother at this point) gets another win against Arizona, improving to 8-0 in his career against the red birds. The crowd at SoFi Stadium has been waiting a long time to actually watch a game from the inside and will feed into Aaron Donald’s requests for noise.
Prediction: Cardinals lose (3-1)
Week 5
San Francisco 49ers (Home)
- Date: Sunday, September 12
- Time: 1:25 p.m. MST
- TV: FOX
The 49ers are hoping to have fogged the facility enough that the injury bug never comes around again. They’ll be much healthier going into this game, and no matter who the quarterback is, their roster is still ahead of that of the Cardinals.
Prediction: Cardinals lose, (3-2)
