Kingsbury’s late-game management improves

In his third year with the Cardinals, are things finally starting to click with Kliff Kingsbury?

It sure did not look that way on the first offensive drive of the game. Four offensive penalties stymied what should have been a seven-point series, but Kingsbury adjusted surprisingly well.

The remainder of the game was fairly disciplined and Kingsbury showed his playcalling creativity with the “Megawatt” package on the two-yard line of Tennessee that saw Kyler Murray waltz in for an easy score.

The most encouraging sign of Kingsbury’s performance was in the fourth quarter. With a big lead, he did exactly what he was supposed to do. The Cardinals ran the ball 12 times, with new running back James Conner getting eight of those carries. This drained 10 minutes of game time and sealed the win for Arizona.
