Arizona’s run defense stuffs Taylor

The Cardinals’ rushing defense has been average at best all season. However, there were times they looked halfway decent and even somewhat elite. One such instance came in Week 1 when they bottled up Derrick Henry, the best back in the league before Jonathan Taylor took off.

The Cardinals’ performance against the Titans from Week 1 should tell us not to scoff at and write the rushing defense off because they’re facing a talented back in Taylor. And with Taylor being one of the league’s best backs compounded with quarterback Carson Wentz’s recent struggles, the Cardinals can key on Taylor early and take him out of the game.

On Saturday, look for stacked boxes from the Cardinals’ front seven. And expect the Cardinals’ rushing defense to stun the NFL Universe when they stuff Taylor to under 60 rushing yards—forcing the Colts to turn to a stagnant Wentz and his errant passing game.
