It would be quite a surprise if the New England Patriots allowed the talented J.C. Jackson to get out of town, but stranger things have happened. The 6-foo-1,198-pounder has been absolutely outstanding since he joined the club back in 2018 and was voted to his first Pro Bowl for his work this past season.
In 17 starts this past fall, Jackson totaled 58 tackles, eight interceptions, and batted away an eye-popping 23 of the passes that came his way. The 26-year-old was marvelous in 2020 as well, tallying 40 tackles, nine picks, and 14 pass breakups for the Pats.
Jackson will certainly be looking to cash in as a free agent, and rightfully so. It will take some crafty maneuvering with the salary cap by the Cardinals to pull this acquisition off, but the payoff would be phenomenal.
