Desmond King

2021 Team: Houston Texans

Desmond King, a former fifth-round draft selection out of the University of Iowa, is coming off of an excellent campaign with the Houston Texans. In 16 games for that downtrodden club, the 27-year-old racked up 93 tackles, three picks, and six pass breakups.

The 5-foot-10, 200-pound King spent three full seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers before being traded to the Tennessee Titans in 2020. The Detroit native’s career numbers include 337 tackles, seven interceptions, 25 pass breakups, and two defensive touchdowns in 78 pro appearances (40 starts).

As an added bonus, King can also contribute as a kickoff and punt returner. The speedster averaged 9.1 yards on 17 punt returns for the Texans this past fall and ran back two punts for touchdowns during his time with the Chargers.
