2009 Divisional Round

In what was the final game of Kurt Warner‘s storied career, the Cardinals entered the Superdome after defeating the Green Bay Packers in one of the most memorable Wildcard Playoff games in NFL history. Unfortunately, the Cardinals’ high-powered offense stalled, with Warner completing just 16 of 27 pass attempts for 205 yards before an injury sidelined him and gave way to Matt Leinart.

The defense didn’t help by giving up 45 points in what became one of the most lopsided playoff losses in team history. The loss would not have stung so bad if the Cardinals’ offense showed signs of life as they did against Green Bay. Unfortunately, they were sent packing while the Saints went on to win their first Super Bowl in franchise history.

The Cardinals had a few more chances to reach the big game during the first half of the 2010s. But they have just one playoff win since (2015 Divisional Playoffs).
