A big name with decreasing effectiveness, Ndamukong Suh might be more likely for the Cardinals after the Buccaneers signed Akiem Hicks.

Another experienced veteran, Suh has spent the last three years of his career in Tampa Bay, winning a Super Bowl with Tom Brady in 2020.

Before that he spent time with the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and one season with the Los Angeles Rams.

Suh had a 7-year run between 2012 and 2018, where he was near the top of his position every season, posting very impressive PFF ratings with an average over that period of 80.4.

Last season was easily the least impressive of his long career from a ratings perspective but he still managed to put together a 6-sack season with 24 quarterback hurries. Suh was once one of the best run-stoppers in the league but was a liability in that area in 2021 perhaps making him less appealing to the Arizona Cardinals.

With the news that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had signed former Bear DT Akiem Hicks it seems unlikely that Suh will re-sign with the team, leaving him as a viable option to pick up in free agency.

PFF.com estimates his contract at 1-year, $5 million. Of course, the Cardinals would have to pay a bit more for the brand value of Suh as compared to Sheldon Richardson, but the price is still not bad for an experienced player of his caliber.
