Cameron Thomas, Edge

Thomas will most likely line up behind Markus Golden and Devon Kennard. I can also potentially see Dennis Gardeck seeing more playing time than Thomas this season. So in 2022, expect Thomas to play a cameo role at most, where he will log no more than just 2.0 sacks and secure just a handful of tackles.

It also wouldn’t be surprising to see Thomas see more time on special teams this season than on the defensive unit. Barring the possibility of the injury bug hitting, of course. His role will likely grow in 2023.

Myjai Sanders

Like Thomas, Sanders will most likely find himself buried on the depth chart this season. But since Kennard has had fringe production since he joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, Sanders has an outside chance to make an impact.

But realistically, it is more likely that Sanders will spend more time on special teams this season. I doubt he logs anything more than garbage time production in 2022. So let’s give him a sack and ten total tackles, perhaps a quarterback hurry, and a tackle-for-loss.
