4 – Mike Kafka

Put Kafka alongside Kyler Murray, and great things could be in the works. Kafka worked with Patrick Mahomes and Daniel Jones, so if there is one coach who could help Murray the best, it’s Kafka. The only issue? Like Evero, he only has one season’s worth of experience as a coordinator.

3 – Aaron Glenn

I might get castigated for ranking Glenn so highly, but he’s better than his numbers in Detroit indicate. Glenn’s defense may have ranked 32nd overall, but they were also a Top 15 unit when the Lions as a whole got it together and surged toward a 9-8 finish. If Glenn got the job, it could be a blessing in disguise.

2 – Lou Anarumo

Anarumo did a remarkable job with the Bengals defense, a unit that allowed just 20.1 points per contest. With enough pieces in place on defense, especially if the Arizona Cardinals draft a pass rusher, Ararumo could be a special hire. Anarumo was also there since 2019, so he knows a thing or two about developing bad units into elite ones.
