We are now one week away from the 2008 NFL Draft. I think I’ve seen more mock drafts than women hanging around Cardinals QB Matt Leinart. It’s time to heat up the debate Cardinal fans, as to who you think the Cardinals should take in the first round. I personally think they should go defense since that is where most of the help is needed right now, especially in the defensive secondary.
A lot of “experts” out there like the Cardinals for a RB. I don’t like that thought. Whoever it is will sit behind RB Edgerrin James for at least a season or two. Taking a player in a position of need makes more sense in the first round. If they want to take a RB in round two or three, I’m ok with that.
So, please weigh in. Who do you think the Cardinals should take in the first round? Seven days and waiting.

I second that too! Our offense was rolling at the end of last season and we have all the skill players in place. We definitely need to upgrade the defensive side of the ball and strengthen our secondary. To be honest, I would be happy with DRC, Mike Jenkins, or Aqib Talib from Kansas. But if Rashard Mendenhall falls to us, I don't know if we could pass on him. Either way, I like how many options we have.
