Rodgers-Cromartie in the Fold
Bravo! The Arizona Cardinals have made their first right move of the 2008 season. First round draft pick, Cornerback Dominique Rdogers-Cromartie agreed to terms on Friday, on this the first day of training camp. Rodgers-Cromartie is expected to be on the field for practice on Saturday.
Sure it would have been nice to see him get on the field day one, however since he isn’t being counted on to start and he has missed only one day, it will be easy to catch him up. He really hasn’t missed anything yet. It was refreshing to see the Cardinals get this done early. There certainly was excitement on Rodgers-Cromartie’s part. He was so excited to get going last week, he had to be told he wasn’t allowed to go to camp until he signed a contract. He was ready to go.
Someone will need to be cut to make room for him on Saturday, however this is a great sign of things to come. Everyone is in camp, both the happy and unhappy. Chalk day one up to a happy day in Cardinals Camp.
