What:  Arizona Cardinals vs. New York Jets, Giants Stadium

When: Sunday, 10 am (AZ Time)

TV/Radio: Fox 10, KTAR 92.3 FM, Sirius 129 (Arizona broadcast), Sirius 119 (New York broadcast)

What to look for:  Arizona finishes their long nine day trip back east by visiting the New York Jets at the Meadowlands in New Jersey on Sunday.  Arizona looks to rebound from a tough loss to the Washington Redskins 24-17.  The Jets meanwhile, have prepared on a short week after losing to the San Diego Chargers 49-29 on Monday night.

Key MatchupBrett Favre vs. the Arizona defense.  With Favre playing on an injured ankle, it should be interesting to see how well he can avoid the pass rush of the likes of Travis Laboy and Darnell Dockett.  Outside linebacker Bertrand Berry has been ruled out of at least this game and possibly more.  With the way Favre played against San Diego and the way he has been hobbling around in practice this week, that has left many wondering if Brett Favre should have returned.  It is obvious that the Jets aren’t much better with him behind center.

Notable Injuries:  Arizona – Berry (groin-out), TE Jerame Tuman (hamstring – doubtful), S Adrian Wilson (hamstring-doubtful), DT Gabe Watson (knee – questionable), WR Sean Morey (achilles – questionable).  New York – P Reggie Hodges (thigh-out), WR David Clowney (shoulder-out), K Mike Nugent (thigh-out), QB Brett Favre (ankle-questionable), WR Laverneous Coles (thigh-questionable), DT Kris Jenkins (back-questionable)

Prediction:  I still am having a hard time believing the Cardinals can win a game back east, no matter how good or bad the opponent is.  Sure, the Cardinals will score and most likely often, but also look for a little Favre magic against a defense that could be weak is S Adrian Wilson can’t go.  He is currently listed as questionable.  Arizona most likely makes one more mental mistake than the Jets and lose a close one 27-23.  However a win is most certainly in the Cards if they avoid the mental mistakes.  That being said…

Go Cards!
