Doucet to Make Pro Debut

Posted by: azscott

Third year receiver Early Doucet is going to get his first shot on the active roster on Sunday after being inactive for the first 4 weeks.  The move was necessary after Anquan Boldin was rulled out for at least this week against Buffalo.

I am going to be very interested to see how the rookie receiver from Louisiana State adjusts to the pro game.  He said he was glad to have the chance to sit back and watch the first 4 weeks and learn from the sidelines.  I hope Warner is able to get a couple of touches to him and see what he can do with the ball.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Urban and Morey, however, it is imporatnt to gauge Doucet’s progress at this point, a quarter of the way through the season, and see if he is going to be a guy to possibly step into the 2nd or 3rd slot next season after Boldin, if Boldin, bolts town.

Go Cards!

    Scott,

I’m ready for a huge bounce back week for your boys! The Cards looked solid in the second half last week. They are better than they looked against the Jets. The secondary was hurting and Favre finally had a good game (thank god). Anyway, Jets Nation is rooting hard for the Cardinals today!!! Down with the Bills!!! Fitzgerald goes for a Buck-20, with 2 TDS!!! Final score:

    Cardinals- 27
    Bills- 19

    I hope!

I hope you are right Brad!  I would like nothing more than a victory to erase the memory of last week.
