Boldin Out, Wilson Fined

As expected, receiver Anquan Boldin was officially ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.  Normally I’d say it that’s a tough loss in a big game.  Although I’d love to see ‘Q’ out there on the field, I’m liking what I am seeing from his replacement Steve Breaston.  This is a great opportunity for the country to see Breaston do his thing.

Also on Friday, safety Adrian Wilson was fined $25,000 for his hit on Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards.  He was warned by the NFL one more hit like that and he will be suspended one game and a $50,000 fine.  That’s just ridiculous.  The hit was legal.  There was no penalty called on Wilson in the game.  I’m tired of plays that don’t garner a flag in game play, get fined later on.  I see it all the time.  Honestly, I don’t even think the hit on Boldin in the Jets game should have drawn a fine.  These guys aren’t going in with the intention to seriously injure other players.  How else can you coach these guys to play?  I wish I had the answer.  Apparently the No Fun League knows.  Here comes flag football!
