Cardinals Back to Practice Sunday Afternoon

After a short break for a trip to Pittsburgh, the Arizona Cardinals return to practice this afternoon at Cardinals Champ Camp in Flagstaff. This will be their last week in Flagstaff before returning home to face the San Diego Chargers on Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.  After that, the Cardinals will practice at their facility in Tempe starting next week

The Cards will practice today from 4:15-5:30 and return for two more practices tomorrow.  Be on the look out for running back Beanie Wells.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt has said that he expects Wells to play on Saturday, so that means he will be returning to practice at some point early in the week.  Also, receiver Steve Breaston underwent an MRI to check out a stiff knee.  No results have been made public yet.  However, if there is any damage, it would be a blow to not only Breaston, but the Cardinals as well.  Realizing that Jerheme Urban would elevate to third receiver if anything happened to Breaston, there would be an element of speed missing from the position.  Also, having Breaston available takes pressure off of receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.  Hopefully all will be ok though.

More updates on today’s new later today.

Go Cards!
