Never Too ‘Early’ to Call Cards Injury Prone

The walking wounded around Cardinals Camp is going to start to resemble a M*A*S*H unit soon if they aren’t careful.  More injuries were reported today from the headquarters of the football team of the southwest.

Receiver Early Doucet is hurt – again.  He apparently injured some ribs during the first half on Friday night against Green Bay.  Who knew?  Apparently no one.  He played the entire second half with the injury.  Now, he won’t see action for at least two weeks.  You have to wonder what it does for his chances to find the final 53?  I think he’s still in, but it’ll give coaches something to think about.

Quarterback Matt Leinart injured his shoulder, but it is reported to not be too serious.  Let’s hope not.  Quarterback Kurt Warner is never a sure bet to make it injury-free through the regular season.

With quarterback Brian St. Pierre ailing as well, I would not be surprised to a lot of Tyler Palko on Thursday against Denver.
