Warner Press Conference at 1pm

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner will hold his press conference at 1pm today at Cardinals headquarters, where he is widely expected to announce his retirement from the NFL.

Matt Leinart will take over, for now, as the new starting quarterback of the Cards.  Is this the right choice?  As of right now, I don’t see any better option.  He’s been on the sidelines watching Warner for the last couple of seasons and if he hasn’t learned anything at this point, then I don’t know what to tell you.  I will tell you though, unless he is traded, Leinart will get first crack at the job. 

This was a day we all knew was coming.  Unfortunately it is coming a year earlier than most of us wanted.  Whatever Kurt decides, we owe him a great big thank you for all he has done to put the Arizona Cardinals back on the NFL map.
