Cardinals Sent Feeler on Roethlisberger

The call was made.  Don’t worry, it seems it was just a call to see what was being offered.

The Arizona Cardinals did make a call to the Pittsburgh Steelers regarding quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.  Pittsburgh has been known to be offering big Ben for a top 10 pick.  As of late this afternoon, according to ESPN, it appears any deal is unlikely.

What is interesting is that the Cardinals even made a call at all.  Remember, Roethlisberger is a guy who Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt wasn’t high on when he was in the Steel City.  Should that say something on how high the hope are on Matt Leinart?  Who knows, but I would be looking out for a possible quarterback selection in the draft, maybe even as early as round two or three on Friday.  That’s just my guess though.
