Cut down day.  Not anyone’s favorite day in the NFL.  For the Arizona Cardinals, that was no exception today as the Cardinals announced most of their cuts.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt had a press conference this afternoon to announce the team has until 1pm tomorrow to cut the final guys to get their roster to 53 players.

The moves made today include the trade of Reggie Wells to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2011 draft pick. Wells would have not been a fit for a backup role here in Arizona given his salary.

The other cuts include:

LB Steve Baggs
TE Anthony Becht
LB Monty Beisel
LB Cody Brown
DE Jeremy Clark
DE John Fletcher
CB Trevor Ford
WR Ed Gant
G/T Herman Johnson
WR Mike Jones
WR Onrea Jones
CB Justin Miller
G Jonathan Palmer
G/T  Tom Pestock
FB Charles Scott
WR Isiah Williams
