St. Louis Names Bradford Starter

Well Cardinals fans, there is one rookie that will get his debut next week. No, not Max Hall.

Sam Bradford, whose Oklahoma Sooners were defeated by Max Hall’s BYU Cougars last season, the number one pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, will start for the St. Louis Rams when the season starts against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.

It comes as no surprise that this would happen.  With all the money Bradford received in his contract, you had to believe the Rams would do everything they could to get Bradford in the starters role.

It also didn’t hurt that Bradford was practically lights out during the preseason as well.   Bradford really had his coming out game a couple of weeks ago against the New England Patriots.  After that game, it was clear Bradford would be the guy.

The Cards defense will have their hands full, no doubt.  Bradford has a nice arm.  The Cards defense had better not get too lax or they will end up getting burned.  First regular season game for Bradford or not, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
