Rumors of a Lutui Extension

There are rumors of a Deuce Lutui extension coming up in the near future.

I would be surprised to see something happen during the season, although I wouldn’t rule it out.  I just have a hard time believing the Arizona Cardinals would want to reward anyone on that offensive line as poorly as they have played as a unit.  They did give quarterback Max Hall a little time this past Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, however, for the most part that have been anything but good.

I like Lutui.  I love the fact he has greatly improved in the penalties department.  He has seen a reduction each of the past couple of seasons.  Lutui as an individual hasn’t been that bad and I’m sure he is someone the Cards would love to keep in the fold a long time.  Lutui is local, personable, and someone I think the Cards can eventually build around on the line.  I would just like to see some consistency in pass protection before the Cards go out and start thinking extensions of any kind.

Do you think Deuce Lutui should get a contract extension?
