Cards Look to Close Out Home Schedule

The Arizona Cardinals face the Dallas Cowboys at home on Saturday evening at University of Phoenix Stadium. It will be the final home game of the season for the Cards, who are 3-4 at home this season.

We knew the Cards would struggle a bit this season after the departure of Kurt Warner, but I know at least I expected a better showing at home this season.  They had a great chance to win all eight home games.  They defeated the Oakland Raiders at home, which was no surprise but in the way they had to do it was.  They also defeated the New Orleans Saints, which was a surprise, especially in how they accomplished that and the Denver Broncos in probably their best offensive output of the season.

It was the losses that were very surprising.  They lost a shootout with a defensive team, the Tampa Bay Bucs 38-35.  They lost all three home divisional games, which was a huge surprise.  Only the St. Louis Rams game was relatively close.

Now, they have a chance to finish even at .500 at home at 4-4.  I would say with the way both teams are playing right now and the personnel available, I wouldn't be going and placing any bets on the Cards.  Either way, of course it is a disappointing 2010 season overall no matter what happens tomorrow night.  Let's just hope the Cards can go out and give the gift of victory on Christmas night.
