Cards-Vikings Loser Could Be Looking Forward to 2012

Granted, it is a more dire situation if the Minnesota Vikings lose to the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday as they would drop to 0-5, but a 1-4 Cards team certainly wouldn’t have anyone jumping for joy around here, even in the NFC West.  It’s not something they couldn’t overcome  but with the way the San Francisco 49’ers have been playing, it could be over before the two even meet.

The Vikings meanwhile, probably can already write off the season given the fact they are in the same division as the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, who are both 4-0.  However, fall to 0-5 and the Andrew Luck sweepstakes are officially on watch.

Don’t think this will be a walk in the park for either team.  The Cards traditionally don’t play well in the Metrodome, including a stunning 27-24 loss last year in a game they had complete control of up until the end.  Forget the Vikings record, they still have an awesome pass rush and we all know just how well the Cards offensive line has been playing.
