Cardinals Sing Same Song, Miscues Lead to Steelers 32-20 Victory

Looks pretty much like the same Arizona Cardinals team that played before the bye week last week, is the same one that showed up, or didn’t show up depending on your point of view, after the bye week today in a 32-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Even the Pittsburgh crowd was better than the Arizona crowd today, what little of there was of it.  Of course they were louder when the boos came out.  Now, the big question is, where do the Cards go from here?”

The one thing I can tell you where they should not go, is to the backup quarterback.  Kevin Kolb did not play well, period.  There is no sugar-coating it today.  Plain and simple.  However, that being said, people really need to stop calling for John Skelton to come off the bench.  He is not the answer to the Cards problems right now either.  The problem isn’t solely on the Cards QB.

The offensive line can’t block.  The defense can defend.  The defense is always a step slower than the opposing defense, as evidenced time after time today.  Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger passed for 320 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Enough said.  The Steelers clearly did their homework on the Cards weaknesses.  With few strengths, the weaknesses are easy to find though.

Now the Cards are left to decide how to move forward, especially since Beanie Wells left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury.  We don’t know the severity yet, however it is very disappointing to see Wells injured, again.
