Arizona Cardinals Likely to Miss Patrick Willis, Must Still Stay Focused

Although San Francisco 49’ers linebacker Patrick Willis has been a thorn in the Arizona Cardinals side during most of these teams meetings, it still doesn’t mean the Cards don’t have anyone else to worry about.  It is that fact that should keep the Cards focused as Willis most likely is out of today’s game at University of Phoenix Stadium.

The Niners defense held the Cards to just 9 points back in November and traditionally have not allowed the Cards to put up many points on them over the past few seasons, even with Kurt Warner behind center.  The defense is just one of a few reasons for the resurgence of the Niners in 2011.

With the Niners already wrapping up the NFC West title, still don’t expect them to rollover, even with Willis out of the lineup.  It would not be in their character to do so.  As improbable as it is, they also still have a shot at the number one seed as well, so I still see the Cards getting the Niners full effort today.  Even with that being said, it is kind of nice knowing that number 52 will not be roaming around on the other side of the ball when the Cardinals take the field on offense.
