Everyone is talking about the incredible performance of the Arizona Cardinals defense in recent games, and their play should be lauded. However, one of the things that has improved significantly in the second half of the season has been the offensive game plans.
In the first half of the season, the Cardinals game plans were atrocious. They never used Beanie Wells and the running game effectively, even though he proved early that he could give them 4-5 yards a carry. Their pass plays were predictable. They never utilized any trick plays. Players routinely missed assignments, and were called for too many silly penalties.
Recently we have seen a different Cardinals offense.
