After the 2010 season, Arizona Cardinals fans debated among themselves who was the better running back, Tim Hightower or Beanie Wells. Hightower was faster, was very adept at running the sweep, changing directions, and finding a hole, and often broke free for long gains–but was prone to fumbling at the most inopportune times. Wells was a straight-ahead power runner who could bounce defenders off him like a pinball bumber, but was injury prone. Could the two running backs coexist on the same team, and could each get playing time?
