Karlos Dansby Biggest Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl Snub

I’m not sure what more a guy has to do to make the Pro Bowl in the NFL?  Perhaps not just the biggest snub of all the Arizona Cardinals but in all of the NFL, linebacker Karlos Dansby was denied an opportunity to represent the Cards in the January 26th event in Honolulu.  He wasn’t even selected as an alternate.

As with any other sport’s all-star game, it all boils down to a popularity issue.  The bigger issue here is most likely NFL fans just don’t care for the Cardinals.  It is an issue I’ve unfortunately had to deal with and explain to people time and time again.  Winning football still doesn’t get people’s attention when it comes to the Cardinals, even from those fans that live in Arizona.

Dansby is having an outstanding season for the record.  He has 117 tackles.  He also has 6.5 sacks which is the most he’s had since 2006.  He has four interceptions, which is more than cornerback Patrick Peterson, who made the Pro Bowl.  Of those four interceptions, two were returned for touchdowns.  Oh and as a cherry on top of all those great stats, he has one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Of course if the Cards make the playoffs and Dansby just continues to do what he is doing, people will jump on his bandwagon, in and out of Arizona.  To be fair, I have read a lot of comments online this evening that agree with my assessment in Dansby being snubbed.  It is unfortunate those voices weren’t as loud as the ones who voted for the players to get into the game.
