The Arizona Cardinals have signed a player to their practice squad according to reports. Cornerback Anthony Gaitor, released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be coming to Arizona.
Gaitor was a seventh-round pick by the Bucs in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Florida International. He was with the Bucs until 2013. He spent the entire season last year on Injured Reserve. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins in May but later released and re-added to the Bucs roster right after training camps opened in July.
Gaitor has 12 career tackles and no career interceptions. It is interesting they added Gaitor given who the Cards just released at the corner position yesterday. We shall see what he can do but given current depth on the roster, unless injury occurs, not sure Gaitor sees any regular season action with the Cards this season.
Stay tuned to other practice squad additions for the Cards as the information becomes available.
