The Arizona Cardinals are in their fifth season of having an alternate black jersey.  They started wearing them in 2010 and are allowed to wear them twice a season.  They wore their traditional red uniforms in the home opener on Monday Night Football against the San Diego Chargers.

People either love them or hate them.  Most of the haters though are either not Cards fans or don’t live here.  Many like them though including me.  Realizing it is not a main color in their color scheme, they still are very sharp.  The traditional red is nice but many teams have either opted for an alternate or throwback jersey.  I’m not a fan of throwbacks.

So, tomorrow has been dubbed Blackout Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.  The game is sold-out.  It is the 87th consecutive sellout for the Cardinals since moving into UOP Stadium in 2006.  Game time is 1:05pm.
