What was speculated last week has become reality. The Arizona Cardinals have released defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy, guard Milford Brown and fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo. All three of these players contributed to the Cards last season, but Ken Whisenhunt didn’t see a future with these players. They decided to save salary cap space and sign their rookies. I thought Clancy could help by rotating in with the defensive line and keeping guys fresh. However, the coaching staff felt like younger players were just as productive and wanted to make room for rookie DT Alan Branch.
