AZCentral.com has provided fans with a short list of the dos and don’ts for all of those making the trek up to Flagstaff to see the Arizona Cardinals in action, so here you go:
Players reported Friday and will be put through a conditioning test at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The first practice is from 1 to 3:05 p.m. Sunday. Camp breaks on Aug. 23.
There is no scrimmage this year. The closest thing is on Aug. 4. The team will hold a practice from 11:35 a.m. to 1:35 p.m. at Lumberjack Stadium on the NAU campus. It will include a live goal-line session. An autograph session will be held before practice.
If you’re coming to watch camp, here are a few tips:
• All practices in Flagstaff are free and open to the public.
• Wednesdays are a good day to visit. There are only seven days of two-a-days, including all four of the Wednesdays the team is in camp.
• Get there early. Not only will you beat the crowds, but you’ll get a better view of the players during stretching and warm-ups.
• For autographs, the best spot to be is along the road leading out of the lower practice field. Players must pass through there to get to the locker room.
• Check the team’s hotline for the latest scheduling information. Practice times are subject to change. If it rains, practice will be in the Walkup Skydome, but those are usually nothing more than walk-throughs.
• Updates are available at www.azcardinals.com or (602) 379-1714.
