Giants’ Jacobs a Gameday Decision

facebooktwitterreddit

As you already are aware, New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs had an MRI on Monday, which came back negative.  However, it is not known whether he will be healthy enough to suit up and play against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.   Reports are that the Giants may not know until gameday on Sunday.

Whether if he is in or out, the Cardinals task of stopping the run doesn’t get any easier.  They still have to fight Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw and that is no easy task.  After the Giants pounded a great run stopping team in Baltimore this past Sunday to the tune of 200 yards, many Cards fans must be thinking if they got that many on them, how many will they pound on us?

I’m sure it will be a focus and concern in practice this week, however, its one thing to prepare for it and another to actually come out and execute what you learned in film and in practice.  The Cards will have their hands full and quite frankly the way the Cards have been tackling lately, I would not be surprised to see the G-Men put up another 200 yards this week on the ground, even with a possible absence of Jacobs.
