On To Carolina After Philly Defeats Minnesota
By Scott Allen
The Philadelphia Eagles did their part in giving the Cardinals a shot to still host another playoff game by defeating the Minnesota Vikings 26-14 on Sunday in Minneapolis. What the win meant most importantly right now is that it means the Cardinals are off to play the Carolina Panthers next Saturday night in Charlotte. The Cardinals lost a game they should have won in Charlotte back in October 27-23.
The Panthers are 8-0 at home this season. This game will be much tougher than the last one in October. The Panthers running game will be tougher to stop and the passing game is going to need to be complemented by a balanced attack with a steady dose of Edgerrin James. Without it, it will be a one-sided event. I will have much more to say about this game this week. No predictions yet until we know who is and isn’t playing. It sounds like Anquan Boldin could be a holdout from the game thanks to his hamstring injury suffered in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Whatever the case, it is going to be the toughest game the Cardinals have played this decade. I can’t wait to get to Saturday.
Go Cards!
