Spach Out For Rest of Playoffs

Wake up Leonard Pope!  Get off the bike Ben Patrick.  Your turn.  Tight End Stephen Spach tore a ligament in Saturday’s victory at Carolina.  Spach had a huge third and 16 catch for a first down to clinch the win against Atlanta.

The Cardinals are going to look to sign another tight end according to coach Ken Whisenhunt.  He said it won’t change their plans, however you’ve got to think anything to disrupt continuity right now is not necessarily a good thing.  When he went down though against Carolina, you had to figure it would end like this for Spach.

I hope he can mend and make it back for some part of next season.  Torn ligaments are hard to recover from quickly, so it remains to be seen how this will affect his 2009 season.  Good luck!
